N-HYPPADEC Reitrates Commitment To Addressing Ecological Challenges.

The Managing Director of the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa fcna, FNIM (Katukan Yauri) has reiterated the commitment of the Commission towards reversing ecological degradation faced by communities affected by operations of Hydroelectric Dams in the country.
The Managing Director stated this in Patigi, Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State while on an assessment visit to an erosion control project executed by the Commission.
He said in spite of funding challenges, the Commission will continue to remain resolute in responding to the plights of the affected communities within the available resources at the Commission’s disposal.
The N-HYPPADEC Chief Executive who was speaking at the palace of Etsu Patigi also said the Commission will incorporate restoration of Patigi to the national grid as part of this year's rural electrification programme.
