Tricycle owners hail AbdulRazaq’s agenda on rural transportation

Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN) on Friday commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for providing enabling environment that supports ingenuous and industrious citizens.

TOAN’s Chairman, Alhaji Saliu Gidado in a message delivered by his secretary at the two day Free Service camp done for TVS 3-Wheeler (Keke) at the Metropolitan Square Ilorin said, the government has done well by given them certificate to operate in the state as an affiliate of Trade Union Congress (TUC) and recognized by the Federal Ministry of Labour.

Speaking on the sideline of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) of SIMBA group, manufactures of TVS tricycle and service manger west, P Murugesh commended the state government for accelerating infrastructure development in the state.

Representative of the Indian company promised to locate a plant of the company in Ilorin not only to make the machine and its parts available for its end users but as a support for the pro- poor government in Kwara State.

The Governor’s aide on community intervention, Kayode Oyin-Zubair appreciated SIMBA Group for exploring the business-friendly environment created by the current administration in the state.

Oyin-Zubair said, this gesture will not only provide more jobs for the skillful young people in the state but boost the government’s direction on rural transportation as contained in its community driven rural development (CDRD) agenda.

“We are grateful for this offer and other things mentioned by you. This government is pro-poor and we are leaving no sector behind in the overall development of our state, especially the rural communities. Your 3-Wheeler also known as Keke enjoys a great deal of patronage in all our communities in the state. We will continue to support businesses that will add value to the living conditions of our people”, he concluded.
