Hon. Ndakene Storms Shonga For Nko Celebration

It was a joyous and proud moment as Hon. Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene, the Waziri Shonga and former Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal House of Reps member storms Shonga pavilion for the Annual Nko Celebration. Held on the third day of Sallah, the annual Shonga Nko Celebration is a cultural festival that features exciting Nupe traditions, games and entertainment like horse race, masquerade display, hunters games among many others.
The ex lawmaker who was attending the annual event for the first time since His Royal Highness, Emir of Shonga, Dr. Haliru Ndanusa Yahaya (OON) bestowed on him a traditional title of Waziri Shonga was captured clad in his white signature outfit as he arrived at the venue of the event amid cheers and entertainment from his admirers, well wishers and other spectators. Hon. Ahmed Ndakene is a politician renowned for his simplicity, calmness and philanthropic gestures. As a former lawmaker, he holds the record for the most performing lawmaker ever from the federal constituency and this feat the people asserted endeared him to all and sundry. As he journey through life and the task ahead, the people are hopeful he will remain steadfast and undeterred in his pursuit of a better course for the people.
