Kwara Government to Partner with Unions for Improved Public Engagement
Alhaji Umaru Danladi Shero - Kwara State Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission

Kwara State Government has expressed readiness to partner with relevant unions to bridge the communication gap between the government and the people.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Umaru Danladi Shero, while hosting the executives and members of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), Kwara State Council, led by the State Chairman, Comrade Usman Oke.
Alhaji Shero described RATTAWU as a key labour union in the state that prioritizes workers’ welfare — a value that aligns with the administration of Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq since his assumption of office.
He further highlighted that the AbdulRazaq-led administration has embarked on several developmental projects across the 16 Local Government Areas of the state, especially in the sectors of education, health, road construction, and agricultural empowerment.
The Chairman urged RATTAWU, as a union of media professionals, to continue disseminating accurate information about the government’s developmental strides to the public.
In his remarks, Comrade Usman Oke commended the state government for its commitment to workers’ welfare.
He also lauded the ongoing urban renewal projects in Ilorin and other parts of the state.
He assured that RATTAWU would continue to collaborate with relevant government agencies to ensure the dividends of democracy reach every nook and cranny of Kwara State.
Also present at the meeting were, Hon. Commissioner I, Abdulganiu Toyib Omotosho, Hon. Commissioner III, Elizabeth Olabimpe Abiola, and other management staff of the commission.
